MALAYATTOOR MEGA CARNIVAL A SHORT DETAILS

Malayattoor is one of the most visited tourist centers in Kerala and a renowned International Pilgrim Centre. The natural lake Manappaattuchira, situated at the foot of the Malayattoor hill, and its surroundings are gifted with natural beauty.
Malayattoor Carnival is a beautiful festival at Christmas season. On these days of Carnival lot of people come for merry making and with different programs based on art, literature and cultural. From 25 December to one week there will be cultural and entertaining events staged by different professional
troops, clubs and artists on a huge platform (24x20 feet) built adjacent to the lake.

There will be traditional performances like, Folk Songs, Folk Dances, Poem Recitations, Thiruvaathirakali, Maargamkali, Oppana, etc. and modern performances like Cinematic Dances, Skits, Karaoke Orchestra, One Act Plays, Professional Orchestra, etc.Public Meetings on culture and society and Inter-Religious Dialogues will be part of this event.

Malayattooor Carnival stage programs at 2015

On each day, there will be a switch-on ceremony by a celebrity and a public meeting comprising of dignitaries including ministers, political leaders, religious leaders, celebrities from film field, socio- cultural leaders, etc.
One of the best attractions of the Carnival huge figure of Santa Claus (80 feet or more height) will be placed close to this beautified lake.
